Footage stemming from the training ground of Spanish giants FC Barcelona will no doubt bring smiles to the faces of Blaugrana supporters worldwide on Saturday evening.

This comes with youngster Ansu Fati having been spotted looking altogether sprightly, in stepping up his efforts to recover full fitness.

Wide-man Ansu has of course endured a nightmare campaign to date, restricted to just a trio of La Liga starts owing to ongoing injury problems.

The Spaniard’s latest such setback came in January, when a fresh hamstring issue picked up during a Copa del Rey meeting with Athletic Club saw him limp out of proceedings and straight down the tunnel.

Ansu has remained on the sidelines ever since, taking a precautionary approach so as not to suffer yet another potential setback.

But, as alluded to above, if the latest footage to have emerged from Barca’s training ground is anything to go by, then the Blaugrana faithful should not have too much longer to wait before seeing their beloved academy product back on the pitch in the club’s colours.

As showcased in the clip below, Ansu, on Saturday, could be seen both dribbling and sprinting at close to full speed, amid a personalised training drill:

Sevilla showdown

Despite the encouraging signs stemming from the Catalan capital this evening, however, Ansu will not be involved on Sunday, when Barca are set to make their post-international break return to action.

A highly-anticipated La Liga showdown with Sevilla lies in store, in a fixture which will pit second versus fourth in the Spanish top-flight.

Tomorrow’s hosts at the Camp Nou, though, are no doubt aware that a 6th league victory on the bounce would guide them level with Sevilla in the table, whilst also in possession of a game in hand.
